Eyelash Perm
About Eyelash Perming
An eyelash perm, also known as a lash lift, curls natural lashes upward to create a more open and defined appearance. The treatment works with your existing lashes and does not add extensions, volume, or length.
Before Your Appointment
- Arrive with clean lashes and no mascara, eyeliner, oils, or eye creams.
- Remove contact lenses before the treatment if requested.
- Tell your technician about eye sensitivity, allergies, recent eye procedures, or previous reactions to lash products.
- Ask whether a patch test is appropriate, especially if you have sensitive skin or have not received this treatment before.
What to Expect
During the service, the natural lashes are positioned over a curved shield and treated with solutions that set their lifted shape. Results vary with natural lash length, growth cycle, aftercare, and the technique used.
Aftercare
- Follow the technician’s instructions about keeping lashes dry after treatment.
- Avoid rubbing or pulling the lashes.
- Limit steam, excessive heat, and oil-based products around the eyes during the initial aftercare period.
- Brush lashes gently with a clean spoolie when needed.
Safety Considerations
The eye area is sensitive, so eyelash perming should be performed carefully by a trained professional. Postpone treatment if the eyes or surrounding skin are irritated, injured, or infected. If burning, swelling, persistent redness, or vision changes occur, rinse as directed and seek appropriate medical advice.
